SEWING MACHINE TASTER CLASS
Have you never even touched a sewing machine before? Come along to a taster class, specifically designed for absolute beginners.
Our introduction class starts with the very basics. We’ll talk you through the different features of a sewing machine, show you how to thread it and select your stitches, how to use the control peddle and reverse function and how to steer your fabric and turn corners.
As this is a taster session you’ll be given sample fabric to practise on which means you’ll be free to make mistakes without worrying about ruining a project.
All our classes include light refreshments but please let us know when booking if there’s any allergy information you’d like us to be aware of.
BEGINNERS WORKSHOP - Tote bag
Join us for a guided workshop specifically designed for beginner sewers.
We’ll show you the basics of setting up a machine, how to thread it and select stitches. We’ll give you some practise activities to do before guiding you through a simple sewing project that you can take home and be proud of.
This is an ideal course for someone who has recently done our taster class or for anyone who has sewn before but is a bit rusty. For absolute beginners we recommend doing our taster class first.
Whether you book with friends or on your own you’ll receive a warm welcome and a fun evening. All materials and use of a machine are included so all you have to do is to turn up and enjoy.
